Likely People LLC operates Likely People. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a hashed password (we cannot read it).
• Your studies: study names, questions, answer options, instructions, the population settings you choose, and the data files and other deliverables we generate for you ("study content").
• Payments: order amounts, offer codes used and Stripe's reference number. Card details are collected and held by Stripe, not by us.
• Security logs: sign-ins, orders and IP addresses for failed sign-ins, kept to protect accounts.

Why we use it

To provide the Service you request (contract), to take payment (contract), to keep the Service secure (legitimate interest) and to meet legal obligations such as tax records. We also use study content for research and to develop, evaluate and improve our services and models, including training them (legitimate interest, and the license in our Terms of Use); study content does not need to identify you for that, and we do not publish it in a form that identifies you or your organization. Real responses you upload are used only to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with (processors)

• Stripe: payment processing.
• OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to (currently Anthropic): the text of your questions and the population description, to estimate how people answer. Your account details and uploaded responses are not sent.
• Hetzner Online GmbH: hosting (servers in the EU).

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. No analytics or advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

Study content (your questions, settings and the files we generated): we keep a copy for our records, for research and for improving the Service, including after you delete a study or your account; deleting removes it from your account and separates it from your email address. Real responses you upload: deleted when you delete the study or your account. Account details: deleted when you delete your account, except where order records must be kept. Order records: as long as tax law requires (typically 7 years). Security logs: 12 months.

Your rights

You can delete any study, and your whole account, from the site at any time (see above for the copies of study content we keep). You may also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete your personal data, at info@likelypeople.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, including to complain to a data protection authority.
